Fisheries

At Utkarsh Nature Village, we cultivate freshwater fish in four large ponds designed to support rainwater harvesting. Each pond is dedicated to different fish varieties, including Roopchand, Pangas, Ruhi, and Catla. Nutrient-rich cowshed wash-water is pumped into the ponds to promote the growth of zooplankton and phytoplankton, which serve as natural food sources for the fish. Similar to our poultry farming, we avoid using commercial feed, ensuring a sustainable and organic approach to fish cultivation.
